Product Description
Organic Peppermint & Mentha Arvensis Oils Creates an exhilirating tingly-cool body space and increases vitality and clarity.Ingredients: Water, Saponified Organic Coconut & Olive oils (w/ retained Glycerin), Organic Hemp Oil, Organic Jojoba Oil, Organic Peppermint Oil, Organic Mentha Arvensis, Citric Acid, Vitamin EDue to increase in our shipping cost we have reduced the discount on the larger sizes of Dr. Bronners products. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you for shopping at VitaminLife.com Soap is made by saponifying a fat or oil with a strong alkali. A fat or oil is a triglyceride, which means that three fatty acids of various carbon lengths are attached to a glycerine backbone. The strong alkali is either sodium (for bars) or potassium (for liquids) hydroxide. The saponification process is a simple one-step reaction with no waste generated: the glycerine is split off from the fatty acids, and the fatty acids combine with the sodium or potassium to form soap, while the hydroxide forms water. The result is soap, glycerin and water (no alkali remains). Quality soap-making consists in great part in choosing the right proportions of the right oils with their different fatty acids. Most commercial soaps skimp on quality because of cost, and use lots of tallow from beef fat with a little bit of coconut or palm kernel oil. Our unsurpassed soaps use olive, hemp, and palm oils instead of tallow, and use three to four times more coconut oil than commercial soaps. Saponified coconut oil generates high-lather cleansing even in hard water because it has shorter-chain saturated fatty acids. Hemp, olive, and palm based soaps make a mild, smooth, creamy lather, because these oils contain longer chain unsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids. Dr. Bronner's makes a higher quality soap i

i have been making my own home cleaners and this peppermint soap is AMAZING! i love cleaning with it because it smells so fresh and wonderful. it's not overpowering like Lysol and Clorox. if you're considering making your own cleaners and even shampoos, i would definitely recommend this castile soap for use. :)

This is the best soap for almost everything. I use it as my main soap for showering as well as in pump dispensers for hand soap. I've even tried brushing my teeth with it before like it's been suggested and it worked well. Just didn't like the thought of brushing with soap instead of toothpaste, I was afraid I might swallow it or something.

I've been using Dr. Bronner's soap for years. I searched for a long time before that to find the perfect peppermint soap, and this is it! I use it like bodywash for the most part, but sometimes I use it for shaving and it works wonderfully! It's also good when you want to get things clean without harsh chemicals. I have very sensitive skin but I've never had a reaction to the peppermint oils. Once I use up my soaps from a well-known soap and scents store, I'm going to replace them with Dr. Bronner's. It's about half as much per ounce!

I have used Dr. Bronner Peppermint soap since the late 1960's as part of my bath arsenal. Lately I have been reading ingredients of the other soaps & shampoos etc., and find several things I don't like in all of them, so I have switched to Dr. Bronner (with an occasional bar of Ivory for hand soap) for all my bath & shower needs. I am even using it as my sole shampoo and it does great. I am a guy with medium length hair- if I had long hair needing conditioner etc. it may not do the trick. I feel much better not covering myself with lauryl sulphates and parabens daily (both possible carcinogens in most regular bath products).
Also, my lady says I smell great using the Dr. Bronner peppermint.

I hope they they make this stuff forever!
