 EXTREMELY painful if it makes contact with eyes January 2, 2009
Compulsively Helpful
If you accidentally get this in your eyes it is extremely painful for five to ten minutes while you try to flush it out; it is the worst stinging and burning imaginable. Then after about ten minutes it only hurts when you blink or move your eyes. That lasts for a couple of hours. Then comes the gross discharge after about ten hours it is still discharging and mildly irritated. I would have given it a five star rating because it works on skin but it isn't worth all of the pain and suffering of even one accidental squirt in the eye, especially when you can get results that are just as good out of a product that does not cause so much PAIN!!

As an adult with acne prone skin, I've tried all kinds of cleansers over the years. This is the one cleanser I've stuck with because of its effectiveness without harsh, irritating chemicals.
In fact, this cleanser contains no chemicals at all. I can't believe how clean my skin gets from the essential oils and castille soap. Just be sure to thoroughly rinse to wash all of the cleanser off.

I read the review from Amazon and very excited so I bought the this cleanser. I have oily skin and acne. After using this product for two weeks I noticed my skin has more acne. It does not thoroughly clean my skin. I still feel oil on my skin right after using this product. I don't see how the review here said it cleans very well. It does not remove oil on my skin. What a waste of money. Maybe I will use it as a hand soap or body wash to get rid of this big bottle. I wish I can give a 0 (zero) star.

I've been using this facewash since I was 13, and I love it!
It removes all the oil from your face without making you feel like a layer of skin was removed along with it. Its great for acne, too- a couple of my friends (with now former) acne problems swear by it.
The few times I've strayed to other brands I've regretted it.
They sell this at Trader Joe's now, too!

I purchased this product as a recommendation from a friend. Given it's size and cost I thought it was worth a try. It has done at least as well as any other face wash for acne I have tried, if not better. It has taken a few weeks for me to see results. I use the product 3 times a day since my skin is more oily than average. Definitely worth a try!
