Love it December 31, 2008 G. P. (Phoenix, AZ) This soap is one of my favorite smells in the world. It also makes me feel good because I know there aren't any unpronounceable potentially toxic chemicals in it. I look forward to washing with it. Just don't get it in your eyes because it stings like heck! It also dries your skin out a lot. I have oily skin, so it's been great for me, but watch out if you're prone to dry skin.
Fantastic soap with a beautiful scent! November 7, 2008 Gordon M. Wagner (Suburbia) I'm not a fan of peppermint, so this is by far my favorite Dr. Bronner's soap. It cleans well and smells wonderful! I'm surprised how quickly I'll go through a large bottle of it. This is easily my all-time favorite soap.
Hardly need lotion anymore! September 23, 2008 Stephanie Adams (Garfield, New Jersey, USA) I started using Dr. Bronner's a year or so ago in the shower - I didn't notice a difference at first, but eventually realized I was hardly using lotion and my skin wasn't dry. This held true through the winter, when I normally get painfully dry skin. Sure, I had to apply lotion occasionally, but not half as much as before. My hands were still dry, though, until I brought a bottle of Dr. Bronner's in for the work bathroom. Problem solved. The trick is to get one of the trial size bottles (2oz) and refill it from a larger bottle. That's what I do in the shower and for hand soap. The smallest bottle dispenses just a drop or two when you shake it, which is the perfect amount to wash your hands or, say, an arm. (you don't need to use a lot - you're trying to clean your skin, not dissolve it) I actually find I save a LOT of water: since the soap is so mild, I don't have to worry about getting off my skin ASAP like I do with harsh body wash - so, I can turn off the water while I soap up (TMI?) which cuts my water use way down. The spell of the almond variety is really yummy and rich (though light). I like the lavender, too, and eucalytus is OK.
Heat Rash and Dr. Bronner's Soap August 2, 2008 Marisa A. Wise (San Diego) I just had a not-so-fun heat rash, and Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Oil just felt amazing in the shower. Definitely use as a remedy for the rash. Or everyday for that matter, it's awesome.
MMMM, like almond kolacky... July 17, 2008 Skillio (Oak Park, IL) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Not even considering the scent, which is heavenly and reminds me of Christmas season almond kolacky cookies, this is a very good soap, especially considering the all natural and fair trade ingredients. The performance is good to very good, even though the "suds-ing" is a little limited compared to normal "chemical" soaps. It's definitely a compromise that's worth it though. Highly recommended.
